Thoughts on Cross Country

The grass was green and my shoes were white. My legs are dirty legs.
The people were in close. But I ran very, very well!
But I lost. Everyone went before me.

The hot sun shone bright. In one bit of the race I was in the lead.
I felt proud. If I past Alfie I would have come 6th but I didn't.
I came 7th. Tyler came first. My friend Harvey came second.
